Ok, the big news...... Lovefresh just arrived at Relish yesterday!!! In case you don't already know, Lovefresh is a gorgeous line of beautifully "body goodies" like lotions, scrubs, and washes.
All of Lovefresh products are made in Canada and come in a variety of scents. Some of the scents we have right now include Lavender, Lemon Verbena, Pear, Vanilla, and Pomegranate. I have to admit that Lavender is my stand-by go-to scent and the one by Lovefresh is delicious, but I've tested the Pear lotion and holy moly! You're definately gonna be addicted to this one!!

New Refinished Goodies!
I'm very excited to announce that Relish has a couple of pieces seriously adorable refinished kids furniture by Hoot Furnishings in the shop.
Each of these pieces are refinished by hand with TLC and are one-of-a-kind. Come see them in person while they're still here!
This vintage one-piece school desk has been given a fresh coat of white paint with an antiqued finish, and the top has been covered in chalkboard paint - ready for creative little hands to draw all over it1
This vintage hallway coat rack has been refinished and given some personality with some fresh rose paint and a little blue bird detail. The wood shelf and sides have a wonderful warm finish and the shelf even has the original hanging hardware on the back!

Upcycled Heaven
I'm a huge fan of upcycled furniture and decor, especially old, gorgeious pieces of furniture. One of my favourite upcycling tricks right now is bright paint over lovely old wooden furniture. I mean, I'm all for preserving the original finish of beautiful old items, but 1) I can only handle so much wood in one room, and 2) if the finish is already wrecked and would need extensive refinishing, sometimes a bright coat of paint is the way to go!
So, here are a couple of drool-worthy upcycled items we have at Relish right now...
There are always more projects in the works, so be sure to stop by Relish to check things out!

Goodies
For those of you who haven't had a chance to make it down to Relish in a while, I wanted to give you a little taste of the great things in the shop right now, and there are LOTS...
There's a great selection of vintage items at Relish. I mean, just check out this globe! So cool and colourful1
And as usual, there are lots of beautiful vintage dishes and glassware to choose from. These floral lunch plates are my favourites. The yellow chrysanthemums are really vibrant and perfect for fall.
This bright yellow vintage coat rack has arrived just in time - now that the cool weather has arrived you're going to need somewhere stylish to hang all your lovely jackets and sweaters.
I may have posted these chairs before, but they're just too cute, so I have to include them here. Chrome and turquoise vinyl vintage kid chairs - what more could you ask for?!
We've also got lots of Betty Mitts from Preloved left - there is bound to be a colour here that speaks to you!
And we've got lots of Maddie Scarves from Preloved, too! Each one is different, so make sure you get down here to pick out your favourite!

Supercrawl!
Well, it was awesome! Supercrawl turned out the be the fantastic event it promised, and then some. There were all kinds of wonderful performers and artists and shops participating - such a good day!
At Relish, we featured a cute little living room scene outside on the sidewalk (with Bertha blocking the door, as usual) and a cozy outdoor fall-themed window display. And I have to brag about the fact that I sewed by very own felt garlands for the window! I know this only involves sewing a straight line, but this is a first for me, so I was very excited.
And we were lucky enough to have some great performers visit us in the afternoon (a video link to some of the performances will be coming soon), and to have Gord Leverton right next door!
Thanks so much to the Supercrawl Team and to everyone who participated to make this a fantastic event. You all deserve a great big high five!

Allison Wonderland has Arrived!!!
Ok, this is a big week. Not only do we have Art Crawl and Supercrawl, but I've received TWO new orders of fall clothing at Relish. I've just unpacked my Allison Wonderland order and it's gorgeous!!
Stranger Blouse in fawn (also comes in black, and feels so good) and Topaz Skirt in black (also comes in silver, which looks incredible with the lace overlay).
Thief Blouse in grey floral (also comes in pink floral - adorable!) and Wiltshire Skirt in black - if you've ever been inspired by the women on Mad Men, this is the outfit for you. The blouse is gorgeous and the skirt fits beautifully!
Suspicious Shift in navy - notice the lovely contrast zipper down the back! Now, these photos do not do this dress justice - it's gorgeous. And perfect for layering in the cold weather. To me, this 60's-inspired dress just screams "coloured tights and fierce shoes!"

I think I may have mentioned that the fall Preloved line has arrived?!?! Well, I just have to show you how great Judy looks wearing her new sweater.
Here she is in the Miss Ellie Cardigan - and notice the gorgeous Maddie Scarf on the chair next to her. There are LOTS of these scarves in Relish right now and I'm telling you, they are the most beautiful colours and knits.
Drool, drool.

Project Update....
Well I'm happy to report that my painting project at Relish is finished!! Well, except for that other wall, so this project is totally almost entirely finished. :-)
This is my lovely new clothing area, and these next photos are how I got here, very late last night......
So now all I have to do before Supercrawl is LOTS of cutting out of paper leaves, and cutting out TONS of pieces to be sewn together for my window display. No problem, right? :-)

Supercrawl Projects!
I work best with a deadline. Which is why, with only 8 days left before Supercrawl, I am just now starting some of the many projects I had planned to have finished before Sept 10th....
Lots and lots of homemade fall decor, like these cutout paper leaves. You'll have to wait to see how great they're going to look all over the shop!
I've also got a couple of other things up my sleeve. Some extra painting, which you'll LOVE, and a great window display project that involves sewing. Now, I am not a sewer. For example, I've already had to ask my mother-in-law to come over twice to thread my sewing maching because I can't remember how to do it. Should be interesting, right? But if I can make it work, it's going to look just awesome!

And after months of coasting, I've finally got myself motivated to finish painted my little dugout/workspace at the shop. Nothing like crisp, white paint in a somewhat dark space. You just wait till I get this finished - it's going to look great!
