First off, there's this adorable Amy Tank, made out of reclaimed shirts, and featuring an asymmetrical ruched detail across the front.

a selection of Ashley Scarves

We've also got a whole bunch of these lovely Ashley Scarves, made from reclaimed men's shirts. They each have unique fetures like sleeve buttons and interesting hems, and come in all kinds of pattern and colour combinations. They're the perfect piece for this in-between weather when you can't bear to pull out your old winter duds!

And most importantly, these ARE all included in Relish's HUGE CLOTHING CLEARANCE SALE!

See you soon!

Visiting

Bertha and I had a chance to sneak home this past weekend, which is always fun. Not only do Bertha and I get to visit with my family, but Bertha gets to hang out with my mom and sister's dogs. It's a bit of total dog chaos, but man do they ever have fun running through the fields like crazy animals!

my sister's handsome dog Shiloh - Bertha has a bit of a crush!

Bertha helping my nana with party prep. And I have to say Nana was very fair with the crackers - one for the platter, one for Bertha....

Bertha is SO bored with the 5-hour car ride back to Hamilton!

Basically, it's a huge sleepover party for her. So if any of you are in the shop today, now you know why she's totally passed out asleep - she's exhausted!

Calling All Design-Savvy Vintage Lovers!

Ok, here's the big news - Relish is looking for interns!

(Bertha said she'd do it, but it's hard to count out change for customers when you have no thumbs!)

I'm really looking forward to having interns to help me out here at the shop, since this will free me up to source out even more amazing vintage pieces and new product lines for Relish. And new people getting invoved also means new ideas and a fresh set of eyes, which is always helpful.

If you want to learn more about design, furniture, vintage and the ins and outs of running a small business, not to mention getting involved in the great scene on James St N, this just might be perfect for you!

I'm looking for a couple of interns to work anywhere from 6 to 12 hours per week starting in May. You must be responsible, comfortable using social media, able to work unsupervised, mature, friendly, outgoing, and have an eye for design.

If you're interested in getting involved at Relish, please email  me a quick note about why you think you'd be a great Relish intern, along with your resume and contact info, to me at info@relishvintage.ca.

And please feel free to include any questions you might have about the position! I'd be happy to provide you with some more details.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Great New Vintage at Relish!

Relish finally has some new vintage pieces in stock!

First is this gorgeous 2-piece solid wood hutch. It's a lovely mossy green with an antiqued finish, has 2 upper shelves, a nice wide drawer and a cupboard below with shelving. All kinds of storage!

This piece would be great as a sideboard in a dining room, a unique kitchen cabinet, stylish bathroom storage, or an accent piece in the living room. So many option!

Here are some before pictures, 'cause we all love the before/after shots!
weird checkerboard upper door and ugly hardware!

new hardware installation in progress...

we're getting there!

so much better, right?

And before I forget, there is one other great vintage piece that's new in the shop - this great mid-century coffee table. It's got great lines and proportions, and a glass top so it doesn't take up too much visual space.
Pretty stylish, huh?

Hope to see you all soon!
